If you happen to be studying construction law IN LAW SCHOOL, then this is your book.

If, on the other hand, you are in the construction business and are looking for a practical book on construction law, keep looking. This is not your book. It is extremely difficult to read and Sweet writes in such a sophisticated manner that it borders on arrogance. It’s not uncommon to find entire paragraphs that consist of one sentence. I found myself scratching my head and asking, “what in the hell did he just say?” Re-reading convoluted law text is not fun.

  2. I recieved my book and there are pages missing. Page 518-551 are gone. I have called your company three time to have this issue resolved but everytime I am told the computers are down and that they cannot look at my account. This has been the worst buying experience. I am trying to take a class and missing these pages is really messing me up. I expect somone to fix this error. I find it hard to believe that the computers at a dot com company are down everytime I call!!!!!!

  3. I bought this book for an undergraduate construction course (I’m a civil engineering student). If you have never read a law textbook, you should really brace yourself when reading this book. It is a massive textbook that contains many principles in law and how they relate to construction. When you read it, you can really get overwhelmed because there is so much material. That being said, it is an excellent textbook; it covers just about all of the legal aspects that engineers need to consider in the construction industry and I believe that any person in the construction industry should consider reading this book (considering the fact that the industry is flooded with bankruptcies, lawsuits and disputes).

We used this book for our senior level construction law class and it was a fantastic textbook. I feel that the reading was very thorough when presenting topics and the homework problems really reinforced the reading. This is a great text to own, especially when dealing with a professor who likes to throw a whole lot of back and forth debate with the class. *A must for anyone entering the construction insutry* -M.
